Cromhall Quarry

Hi all,

Yesterday (2/4/07) Steve P and I ventured to Cromhall quarry. www.Cromhall.com

Click the photo below for more pictures.

Cromhall Quarry

Excellent pontoon entry into 13-15 meters, parking is 25 meters from the pontoon.

Before we got in they said the visibility was about 10 meters, they were right!

The site is easily twice the size of Stoney

There is about 2 inches of silt on the bottom which should be avoided.

As the photos show, at the other end of the quarry, which you drive round to, is a beach area, you can park right next to the “beach”

There are training platforms at I think 6 and 9 meters.

We visited the “Volvo” and “rover” reefs!

All in all an excellent site for a shake down dive, or indeed a bit of training, no rush, no crowds!

Excellent catering facilities in a purpose built facility carefully disguised as a steel container, together with toilet facilities by both the pontoon and the beach area.

£10.00 entrance fee

What more can I say, circa 40 miles/40 minutes from Worcester.
